About Us:
Dr. Enrique Gonzalez-Mendez, Faculty and Planning Chair of the Latino Health Forum (LHF) and the LHF Committee are working along side with the Residents of the Santa Rosa Family Medicine Residency Program to plan and implement the conference. The LHF committee is comprised of a unique alliance with major health and medical institutions and groups, working together with community leaders to identify keynote speakers, workshop breakouts, and provide guidance and direction.
Our Goals:
To inform professionals about the most relevant challenges facing the Latino population in Sonoma County; to enhance access and quality of health services for Latinos; to inspire local students to pursue careers in health and social services; to facilitate networking among healthcare and other service providers, to increase knowledge of immigration reform; and to discuss the implications of the Affordable Healthcare Reform Act.
We strive to educate, inspire, heighten awareness, and encourage all attendees to become models in how to manage their personal health, as well as to also assume a greater community responsibility for the health of all Sonoma County residents.
